It all started in the small Japanese town of Yurihonjo. Within days, Colin stalked Rubie. Just kidding. Well... you decide. We worked for Disney on Ice- Rubie as a skater and Colin as a video projectionist, and our tour has just landed in Japan. We passed a few awkward glances and attempts at conversation, but it was clear that Colin was not one to be that forth-coming, so he resorted to finding Rubie on social media to "make a move." Not too long after Rubie made a post stating, "I need a running buddy," Colin confidently claimed that he fit the description and was qualified to keep up with a lifelong athlete (FYI, he's not). Shortly after this, we went on our first "outing", as we called it, where we talked for hours on a beautiful dock well into the night. We both realized it was the start of something special. Shortly after, on our first date, we danced under the stars, and the song that played will be our first dance on our wedding day. Our adventures continued to take us through Japan and France, including a wild trek of Mt.Fuji, childish rides on every carousel we could find, and lots of cheers and laughter. We now spend our time in Orlando, where Rubie attends UCF, pursuing a Marketing degree, and Colin works as a technical specialist and also attends UCF, pursuing his MBA. Whenever we can, we love to visit the beaches of the Jersey Shore to see Colin's family or the mountains of Canmore, Alberta, where Rubie's family resides. It was in Canmore, along an icy river and train bridge covered in snow, that Colin proposed to Rubie. When we are not hard at work, we enjoy walks with our puppy, Sage, hanging out with friends, going to baseball games, and making silly pig noises.
