Answer

The ceremony and other wedding events will be at Ana y Jose Hotel & Spa. This hotel has rooms blocked off specifically for our wedding at discounted rates. Please see the “Travel” page for more information. We also recommend Aloft Tulum as a cheaper alternative hotel. La ceremonia y otros eventos de la boda serán en el Ana y Jose Hotel & Spa. Ana y Jose Hotel & Spa does include an all inclusive food and drink option which is $150 per person per day. For more information please see the “Travel” page. Aloft Tulum has a breakfast included option. The hotel is located near restaurants and cafes. No, but there will be multiple events throughout the weekend which will require you to be at Ana y Jose. For your convenience it may be easier to stay at this property. Yes. This will be coordinated by Allyssa Guerin who will need your flight information in order to coordinate transportation to ANA Y JOSE HOTEL & SPA. If you choose to stay at Aloft Tulum they also provide transportation but that will be coordinated by you. If you stay outside of these 2 hotels you will need to find your own transportation and communicate this need with the hotel you will be staying at. Sí. You can contact their concierge team in regards to parking the day of the wedding and for other bridal events that weekend. They can also help you coordinate transportation to and from Ana y Jose. You can contact them at concierge@anayjose.com. If you stay at Ana y Jose Hotel & Spa there will be no need for transportation as that is where the ceremony and reception will be held. If you stay at Aloft Tulum, they can provide transportation to and from Ana y Jose, but you will need to inquire about this. You can also contact the concierge team at Ana y Jose (concierge@anayjose.com) if you are staying off property and need transportation to and from the hotel for the wedding and other events. Si te alojas en el Ana y Jose Hotel & Spa, no habrá necesidad de transporte, ya que ahí es donde se llevará a cabo la ceremonia y la recepción. Which airport should I fly into? ~ ¿A qué aeropuerto debería volar?

Answer

We are recommending flying into the Tulum airport as it is only a 30 minute drive to the beach strip in Tulum. You can also fly into Cancun however it is a 2-2.5hr drive from Tulum. Transportation can be coordinated to either airport. Recomendamos volar al aeropuerto de Tulum, ya que está a solo 30 minutos en coche de la franja de playa en Tulum. Answer

This depends on your needs. If you are only staying for 3 nights, we would not recommend renting a car as the hotels may have little to no parking and the roads can be difficult to manage. However, if you are staying longer and want to explore the area renting a car may be a cheaper option than taxis as the taxi service in Tulum is not reliable or consistent in price. We recommend checking with your hotel about booking excursions and transportation to and from them. Esto depende de tus necesidades. Si solo se queda por 3 noches, no recomendamos alquilar un coche, ya que los hoteles pueden tener poco o ningún aparcamiento y las carreteras pueden ser difíciles de manejar. If I decide to rent a car, where should I rent from?

Answer

We had a good experience renting from Hertz AT THE AIRPORT. And we had a terrible experience renting a rental car online with NU. Renting a car online can lead to more fees being paid once you get to the airport. We do recommend waiting to rent a car once you arrive at the Tulum Airport for easier interactions. And yes they will speak English.

Does the hotel plan excursions? ~ ¿El hotel planea excursiones?

Ana y Jose Hotel & Spa does not book excursions for you however they may be able to help coordinate transportation to and from. This is something you can ask while making your reservation at weddingsandgroups@tulumresorts.com. Aloft Tulum does help plan and coordinate some excursions. Please inquire upon booking. Ana y Jose Hotel & Spa no reserva excursiones para usted, sin embargo, es posible que puedan ayudar a coordinar el transporte de ida y vuelta. Yes. This hotel has its own restaurant but is also situated along the main beach strip in Tulum. It is lined with small boutique stores, restaurants, beach clubs, night clubs, pharmacy and convenience stores. Since this is a tourist area, be aware that prices can be higher than normal. Sí.
