Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

ALL guests should arrive in Granada by Friday, June 22 to get situated before the wedding. Friends of Diandra/Bridesmaids - Arrive to Granada or Nerja before Wednesday, June 20 for the Bachelorette Party Friends of Shane/Groomsmen - Arrive to Granada by Thursday, June 21 for the Bachelor's Party

Question

Which city should I fly into?

Answer

This is our recommendation ranked from first to last: 1. Malaga > This city is on the southern coast of Spain. This city is a 2 hour bus ride to Granada and the price per ticket is about $16. There are many buses that leave throughout the day and the company is called ALSA. 2. Madrid > The biggest airport and most popular to fly into, however it is a 5 - 6 hour bus ride from the city to Granada. There are no trains that go directly to Granada. From the airport you would have to take the metro to the city's bus station. The ticket can be from $25 to $30 each way. 3. Barcelona > Right now this is the cheapest option for flights. There are several people flying into this airport and then taking a domestic flight to Granada. The flight is like from Sacramento to LA, and you can expect to pay about $45 each way. The only other option is a bus, but it is about 10 hours long. If you chose to do it this way, there is an overnight bus you can take. All buses are scheduled through ALSA.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

There are a lot of resources under the tab 'Travel and Places to Stay' that should clearly answer your question. If you still have questions or doubts, contact Shane or Diandra directly.

Question

What is the dress attire for the wedding?

Answer

The most important is that you are comfortable. We understand it is going to be warm, however the church and venue will expect something dressy casual at least, but no need to be super formal. Because we are getting married in a cathedral, we do ask that bottoms not be too short and shoulders are covered to respect the rules of the church. If you plan to walk to the venue, make sure to bring comfortable shoes!

Question

What events do I need to attend?

Answer

Besides the wedding day events, Shane and Diandra will be hosting a Tapa night Tuesday, June 19 for our guests who arrive to Granada early. The other events are private for the wedding party and parents only. For more details, go to 'Schedule' tab of this website, above.
