Travel

We know this wedding is far away for many of you and we are thankful you are taking this journey to be with us on our wedding! You can fly into New York a few days before Sunday October 16 and enjoy the city before traveling upstate, or start your trip upstate and meet us Sunday evening at the venue. If you do fly in the day of the wedding, give yourself a few hours to get to Bear Mountain. It is about a 1 1/2 hour drive and about a 2-3 hour train ride including a short uber/lyft/taxi you will need to take at the end. The easiest way to get to the venue is by car. If you can, we suggest getting a group together and sharing a car rental during your stay. If you can’t figure out how to get from NY to your accommodations near the venue, reach out and we’ll try our hardest to help! We will be providing a shuttle to and from the wedding venue if you are staying at the Holiday Inn in Peekskill, the Stone Cottages, or Overlook Lodge.

Flight

LGA (LaGuardia)

Our top recommendation is that you fly into LGA airport, it is the closest airport to Brooklyn and Manhattan and has easy access to train, taxi, and rental car services.

Hotel

Holiday Inn Express &Suites Peekskill Lower Hudson Valley

2 John Walsh Boulevard
Peekskill, NY 10566
 (855) 803-5828

This is our preferred hotel and it is very close to the venue, about a 10 minute car ride. The room should be around $149 for Sunday night with our room block code HDW. For reservations over the phone, ask for the Hartman Drumm Wedding Block. For reservations online: On the same screen where you are selecting your dates, there will be a dropdown option below the dates that says "rate preference" - select "group rate" and type in the code HDW.

Discount Code - HDW

Hotel

Bear Mountain Inn - Overlook Lodge

55 Hessian Drive
Highland Falls, NY 10928
 (855) 548-1184

This hotel is located about a mile away from the Bear Mountain inn. They don’t have accommodations available for Saturday October 15, so this hotel is only recommended if you plan on only staying there starting on Sunday October 16. To book, call the listed phone number and say you are booking for the Hartman Drumm wedding and please specify you want a room at the Overlook Lodge as they have many different hotels. It should be around $179 a night.

Travel Note

Air BnB and VRBO rentals

In addition to the hotels we’ve recommended, you can also find house rentals on a variety of websites! If you are going this route in Brooklyn, we can recommend the following neighborhoods: Fort Greene (this is where Robert and I live and a super cute place to stay in and explore! Williamsburg East Williamsburg Greenpoint If you are going this route in the Hudson Valley, we can recommend the following towns that are nearby the venue: Peekskill West Point Highland Falls Cold Spring

Train

Train from New York to Bear Mountain Inn

Directions from LGA to the Bear Mountain Inn: Take the M60-SBS bus to Harlem 125 street. The bus can be found at Marine Air Terminal, Terminal A on Marine terminal road. At Harlem 125st walk up the steps to the train station. Here you should be able to buy tickets from a kiosk (for Peekskill) but have cash on hand to buy a ticket on the train just in case. The train to take is the Hudson Valley line which departs every hour at :56. This may change however so be sure to check the train schedule for updates (https://new.mta.info/schedules). Alternatively, this same train can be taken from Grand Central Station (89 E 42nd Street), which would be the recommended starting point if you will be staying in Manhattan or Brooklyn for a day or two before heading to Bear Mountain. Upon arrival at Peekskill you will have to take a 12 minute taxi ride to the Bear Mountain Inn. Using Lyft/Uber you should have no problem.

For all the days along the way
