We met on a dance floor at a Masacote class—Aaron as the instructor, Mel as the student. What started out so simply quickly turned into a genuine friendship. From the very beginning, we found ourselves spending more and more time together, going on adventures, having long conversations about everything and nothing, laughing nonstop, and discovering how perfectly our tastes in music, movies, and humor aligned. We simply loved being together. What we didn’t realize at first was something everyone around us seemed to already know: this was more than friendship. Eventually, that beautiful friendship grew into love. During the pandemic, we made the decision to move in together rather than continue living in different states. What could have been a challenge became one of the greatest confirmations of our love. Even while spending all our time together, we never grew tired of one another, in fact, we fell deeper in love every day. Living together showed us how strong our bond truly was. Our relationship is built on a foundation of friendship, love, respect, and admiration, and it continues to grow stronger with time. That love brought us our greatest joy, the birth of our beautiful baby boy, Atticus Julien, and the best year of our lives as a family of three. Learning we were going to be parents together only deepened our connection and made one thing absolutely clear: we want to spend the rest of our lives together. And so, here we are, still dancing through life side by side, with hearts full of love and gratitude for this journey we share. - Nos conocimos en una pista de baile durante una clase de Masacote: Aaron como instructor y Mel como estudiante. Aun pasando todo nuestro tiempo juntos, nunca nos cansamos el uno del otro; al contrario, cada día nos enamorábamos más. Vivir juntos nos mostró lo fuerte que realmente era nuestro vínculo. Nuestra relación está construida sobre una base de amistad, amor, respeto y admiración, y continúa fortaleciéndose con el tiempo. Ese amor nos regaló la mayor de las alegrías: el nacimiento de nuestro hermoso hijo, Atticus Julien, y el mejor año de nuestras vidas como familia de tres. Saber que seríamos padres juntos solo profundizó nuestra conexión y dejó algo completamente claro: queremos pasar el resto de nuestras vidas juntos.
