What it is: A pre-wedding prayer ritual, after which guests apply turmeric paste to bless the bride and groom with prosperity and a glowing start to married life. Indian Attire -What to Wear: • Women: Simple lehengas, salwar kameez, or anarkalis in shades of yellow, marigold, and peach • Men: Kurtas/Nehru Jackets in shades of yellow, marigold, and peach Western Attire -What to Wear: • Women: Sundresses or linen sets in shades of yellow, marigold, and peach • Men: Neutral colored linen suits or neutral dress pants/chinos with a crisp button-down (can be in linen as well) Style Notes: Solids are common but feel free to incorporate prints in the requested shades as well.
