Blake and Dharti's story began in high school back in 2013. Although they shared an art class, their first real conversation happened at a football game when Dharti went to greet a friend - who promptly left when Dharti and Blake hit it off, giving the two the chance to talk the entire evening. From that night on, they quickly became friends and were inseparable in class. Their first "unofficial" date came in January 2014, when Blake helped Dharti with a photography project. She thanked him by going out for some Wingstop (the path to a teenage Blake's heart) and they started to fall deeper. A month later, Blake asked her to be his girlfriend with the help of a cute poster and his pet husky. Dharti said maybe! but after a few days of consideration said yes on February 11, 2014.

From high school sweethearts to college in Chicago, to building a home together in Evanston, their relationship has grown through every chapter of life. In 2024, Blake proposed in Cinque Terre, Italy, on a cliffside walk overlooking the Ligurian Sea - a moment Dharti sealed with a teasing "about time" before saying yes. Now, after more than a decade of love, they can't wait to celebrate their next chapter surrounded by their family and friends in their multi-cultural wedding.
