What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Refer to the What to Wear Guide tab (WIP) for dress code information and ideas. Note that outfit changes are common for each event in an Indian wedding.

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes! Please refer to the Travel tab for the group discount code and link to make a reservation.

Are the ceremony & reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes! All events on the wedding day including the baraat, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will take place at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook, IL.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Our venue, The Hyatt Lodge, has a large parking lot located on the grounds that is free for all guests and is a short walk from the front entrance. Valet parking is also available for a fee.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

For comfort, please plan to arrive around 12:00pm. This should allow ample amount of time for parking and to find the meeting spot for the baraat.

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

We unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests due to limited capacity and can only allow the people named in your online RSVP. Your RSVP will be made out "{Your name} & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you.

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

While we love your little ones, children are only welcome if specifically named on the invitation. For those attending with children - as our wedding includes multiple traditional ceremonies and meaningful moments, we kindly ask parents to ensure children are supervised and able to remain mindful and respectful throughout all events. Thank you for your understanding and helping us make each celebration special.

Where can I go during the 1 hour break between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Please use this time to reset for the evening festivities - whether you are changing outfits, grabbing a drink, or just catching your breath. The Hyatt Lodge has plenty of communal lounges and a bar to hang out if you are not staying in one of their rooms.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us, and the hangover is on you! Please drink responsibly :)

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by latest July 31st, 2026. If we have not heard back from you by this date, we will have to assume you will not be attending as we will be required to provide final commits to our vendors. Thank you for your understanding.
