There is so much to do in Dublin! Check out a few fun experiences listed below
Kilmainham Jail is one of the largest unoccupied jails in Europe, covering some of the most heroic and tragic events in Ireland's emergence as a modern nation from 1780s to the 1920s. A must for an history buffs. Attractions include a major exhibition detailing the political and penal history of the prison and its restoration. The tour of the prison includes an audio-visual show. Think of this as Ireland's answer to Alcatraz!
Come book a tour, enjoy drinks featuring our triple distilled whiskeys, and discover what Sine Metu means.
If you're going further afield, The Cliffs of Moher are a must see! Absolutely breathtaking if it's not raining:)
Bunratty Castle (Irish: Caisleán Bhun Raithe, meaning "Castle at the Mouth of the Ratty") is a large 15th-century tower house in County Clare, Ireland. It is located in the centre of Bunratty village (Irish: Bun Ráite), by the N18 road between Limerick and Ennis, near Shannon Town and its airport. The castle and the adjoining folk park are run by Shannon Heritage as tourist attractions.
One of Ireland's most spectacular tourist attractions. The Rock of Cashel is one of Ireland's most spectacular archaeological sites, a prominent green hill, banded with limestone outcrops, rising from a grassy plain and bristling with ancient fortifications.
Kiss The Blarney Stone!
Dingle is a small port town on southwest Ireland’s Dingle Peninsula, known for its rugged scenery, trails and sandy beaches. It's actually twin cities with Santa Barbara! There is so much to do here - check out some of the things listed on this below, and definitely stop by Dick Mack's for a pint!
Killarney is one of Ireland's most beautiful towns and is about 20 minutes drive from Tralee. We'd highly recommend if you've got time before or after the wedding, that you stay there and explore everything it has to offer. Please note, there isn't much to do in Tralee, Killarney is definitely a much nicer place to spend the day. Things to do include: The National Park, Ross Castle, Torc Waterfall, Ladies View, Muckross House, Gap of Dunloe
This town gave me the love of my life, so I'm obviously biased, but that withstanding, you'll find no better town in all of Kerry. Architecture fans, definitely check out the Daniel O'Connel Church and the old Barracks, or if you're feeling frisky try and take on the Beenatee Hike. Most importantly, I've always found the charm of this town lies with the people who call it home, and there is no better way to meet them than by sharing a drink (or 5!) at the local watering holes. If you're looking for a light snack you have to stop by CafeSIVEEN (my absolute favorite cafe in all of Ireland). Once you're fed enjoy the rustic (often centuries old) pubs in town: The Shebeen, Craineens, The Anchor, Mike Murts, & The Fertha just to name a few and you'll see what I love about my second home.
One of Devin's favorite places, this ruin is from a 16th century castle, with grass- covered floors and missing walls. The castle is high on a grass hill facing the sea and is a short distance from Cahergall Fort and Leacanabuile Fort (also definitely worth checking out). You could follow that up with a walk on the White Strand Beach or take a look at Cuas Crom beach where the famous Christmas Day Swim takes place!
There is so much to do on this gorgeous island! At this time of year, the car ferry is closed so you'll have to drive through the beautiful fishing village of Portmagee and cross the bridge to the island. We'd recommend going to see the Lighthouse, Geokaun, The slate quarry and if you feel like a fun hike, then you might consider walking Brey Head! You can also see The Skellig Rock from there, where Star Wars The Force Awakens & The Last Jedi were filmed!
A truly spectacular piece of Irish scenery that has to be seen to be believed! Nestled away behind the sleepy fishing village of Portmagee you will find these amazing cliffs with breathtaking views. You can always warm up with a hot whiskey or an Irish coffee in the local pub afterwards!
Waterville and the surround area is a really beautiful place to visit. Not only is it famous for it's Golf Links (this is where all the Pro Golfers practice for The British Open!) , there is also a whole host of beautiful sites to see. Some include Derrynane House, Ballinskelligs, Lough Currane to name a few. It's overflowing with cute pubs and eateries - http://www.ireland.com/en-us/what-is-available/destinations/republic-of-ireland/kerry/waterville/
Dooks is one of Irelands oldest golf courses and one of Kerrys magnificent links courses. Described by Ronan Rafferty as one of the best kept secrets in Irish Golf. Golf has been played in Dooks since 1889 which makes the course one of the oldest Golf Links in Ireland. For the golfer who is seeking a beautiful round of great golf, Dooks offers a real taste of traditional links golf at its very best.
