Haldi

10:00 am

Frieda Garden, El Dorado Royale Resort
Mexico

Dressy Casual or Indian Attire. Suggest colors like yellow, orange, or gold.

The Haldi (turmeric) ceremony is to prepare the bride and groom for their wedding and new life together. Haldi is applied to the couple, by their family and friends, as it's considered auspicious in Indian tradition representing a life of prosperity. The ceremony ends with the choora (bangle) ceremony, where Devina will be adorned with her red bridal bangles. These bangles are believed to bring good luck and strengthen the bond and love of the newlyweds. Breakfast bites will be served, and the event will be held outdoor.

Sangeet/Mehendi

6:00 pm

White Gazebo, El Dorado Royale Resort
Mexico

Cocktail Attire or Indian Attire. Bring your Mexican sunset colors or Indian jewel tone colors!

Get ready to dance the night away! The Sangeet, which translates to “music”, is a colorful and lively event filled with dance, music, and vibrant celebrations. Families of both the bride and the groom typically perform dances to celebrate the union of the new couple. Whether you choose cocktail attire or Indian attire, make sure to bring your Mexican/Indian colors to match the festive atmosphere. Our Sangeet will include Mehendi (henna) artists, who will draw (non-permanent) designs on the hands of our guests. Dinner will be served, and the event will be held outdoors.
