All wedding events—ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, and reception—will take place aboard the MV Skansonia. Please note: the Skansonia is a historic ferry boat (the boat will remain docked for the duration of the evening), so you’ll walk through a marina to reach the venue. We’ll have ample signage on the day of the wedding and will update our website with detailed directions closer to the date to make arrival as easy as possible! We recommend taking an Uber or Lyft to and from the venue. Since the wedding will be on a boat, parking near the water can be very limited—especially on a nice late-summer day—and often has time restrictions. Rideshare will be the easiest and least stressful option.
In true Seattle fashion, it’s weather-dependent! Ideally, the ceremony will take place outdoors, with guests enjoying both the indoor and outdoor spaces aboard the boat throughout the evening. Since evenings on the water can be chilly, we recommend bringing a shawl or light jacket.
Dress code is formal-cocktail. We’d love for guests to dress up—think suits and ties, and cocktail dresses! Most importantly, wear something that makes you feel great!

Your invitation will indicate whether you have a plus one. Due to limited space aboard the ferry, our celebration is strictly RSVP-only, and we’ll only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation. Thank you so much for understanding—we truly appreciate it!
We love your little ones! However, due to limited space, we hope you understand that our wedding and reception will be adults-only, with the exception of those in our immediate family.
