Take the ferry from Como to Varenna and follow the signs for the Castello di Vezio to enjoy a 1.2 mile hike. This hike takes about 30 minutes, and you will be rewarded with beautiful views of Lake Como!

Built in the 1200s, the villa was originally a monastery but was later converted into a villa to house one of Italy’s wealthiest families. The villa is only accessible by boat, so this visit will require planning ahead.

Ellie and Garrett enjoyed people watching during aperitivo at the restaurants in front of the Duomo, on Via Cinque Giornate.

This neoclassical museum dedicated to the works of Alessandro Volta sits along the lake in the city center of Como. Enjoy a beautiful walk through the Gardini del Tempio Voltiana before reaching the museum. Afterwards, you can sit along the lake with a bottle or wine or cup or gelato!
