*Special Mention* Brennan proposed to Desirae here!
Millennium Park is home to the famous "Bean", as well as flower gardens, an outside concert venue, and is close to The Art Institute of Chicago, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Lake Michigan shoreline.
Reserve tickets ahead of time. If you plan to do more activities that count toward the CityPass, consider the cost benefits in relation to the things you would like to do while you are in the city
The Architectural Boat Tour is an unforgettable experience! Even if you don't explicitly enjoy buildings/architecture, Brennan and I went on this tour last summer and it changed my perspective of the skyscrapers completely. Now I love driving by them every day because I know pieces of their history! The link provided is to the Groupon website. For many activities in Chicago, there are Groupons available to make it more affordable. *If you decide to do this, bring your sunglasses, sunscreen, and a jacket because it will both be warm and cool on the river throughout the tour.
There are walking paths that frame the Chicago river. There are tourist shops and restaurants along this area, but they are a little pricey. You are able to walk along the river without paying a fee.
If you decide to visit the Lincoln Park Zoo, I would strongly recommend taking the bus or driving nearby and parking, to walk to the zoo. Traffic in the summer will trap you for extended amounts of time, and parking is very difficult to find near the zoo.
