Sayulita and Riviera Nayarit is a GORGEOUS area to explore, full of natural landscapes, rich culture, and delicious food. If you plan to stay in town a few days outside of the wedding activities, please do yourself a favor and enjoy the area. We listed some of our favorites from our July 2021 trip! 🇲🇽🏖🌽🐴🐳☀️

🦐 Restaurants

- La Rustica: great italian food (yes, italian), woodfired pizza, pasta, mussels, huge upper patio and great ambiance #VIBEZ - Achara: great thai food (yes, thai), excellent cocktails, and great ambiance #VIBEZ - El Tiburón: great Mexican food with a great ambiance and good cocktails #VIBEZ - Tierra Viva: cute bar/restaurant with airy upper patio, good sushi, recommend stuffed avocado - Don Pedros: elevated beachfront restaurant with excellent ocean views - El Break Cafe: beachfront cafe (literally tables on sand) with drinks and eats - Organi-K: great organic bowls and smoothies - Miscelenea: excellent healthy brunch and caffeinated goods! Super #VIBEZ - Anchor cafe: cute brunch and coffee spot, smoothies

🌮 Tacos

There is a plethora of taco spots, obviously! Some of our recs are: - El Itacate (has melted cheese burrito) - Tacos Al Pastor Tal Ivan - Tacos Al Pastor Diaz - Naty's Kitchen

🍹Bars/Music

- YamBak: intimate brewery on a busy corner in town center, DJs - Escondido: cute intimate bar in town center, classy cocktails and wine/beer #VIBEZ - Atico: rustic outdoor bar with swing chairs and always has live bands - Selina The Garden: airy corner palapa-covered bar with lots of seating and big dancefloor, DJs - Lucid: cute bar near the beach with great drinks and mellow music - Bar Le Zouave: cute bar connected to Hotel Hafa with EXCELLENT margaritas - CAVA: intimate bar with good selection of small batch tequilas and mezcals, chill - Chillum Surf House: rooftop restaurant bar with good sushi and great live bands and reggae - Xochi: huge restaurant overlooking the town square, Latin night on Thursdays - Frente al Punto Beach Club: really awesome open/airy/grassy beach front with great cocktails, food, nightly live band, family friendly, and THE BEST SUNSETS (one of our favorite spots)

🛍Shop

Sayulita is an eclectic and colorful town, full of art, local artisan crafts, and plenty of adorable shops. - Révolucion del Sueño: colorful selection of beach blankets, home goods, stationary, souvenirs - Manyana: very well curated home goods and ceramics and clothing #VIBEZ - Evoke the Spirit: great shop with beautifully handmade home goods, painted ceramics, tapestry, macrame - Someone Somewhere: boutique shop with quality pieces supporting (and naming) local artists, amazing candles - Delfines (the block near the beach): bunch of artisan vendors selling colorful and woven goods

- Playa Sayulita: South End Beach, filled with activity, umbrellas, vendors, bars/restaurants - Beach north of the tiny "Sayulita River": walkable via the shoreline, water cleaner, beach is quieter and more serene (in our opinion)

Campamento Tortuguero Sayulita: November is the middle of the season when baby sea turtles head to the ocean from their sandy nests! Apparently this happens every evening around 6:30pm on the north side of the beach🐢
