We made this site to help you plan your trip to come celebrate with us if you're able to make it. We actually don't recall the EXACT moment we met. It was back in 2006, Derrick was living in Long Beach, CA with his sister Melissa and brother Jonathan, and Rachelle was living in San Diego as she attended San Diego State University, which was also where Derrick's close San Jose homies - BJ (DJ SmoovGroovs) and Jeremy (DJ Hobbs One) also attended. The moment was likely at some random DJ hiphop event on campus where BJ told Dee that he should "come check out this chick who scratches." From there blossomed a close 7-year friendship where we competed on who had the best big-forehead joke and who could do a chirp-flare scratch better. Then in 2013 when Rachelle was living in NYC for Physician Assistant grad school, Dee finally mustered up the school boy courage to exit the friend zone 4ever. He moved to NYC in 2015, proposed on January 11, 2020, and the rest is history.
