The Wedding Website of Emily Robinson and Joshua DeRitter
If you have any questions that are not listed on this page, please feel free to contact the bride (before wedding) at 716-464-0022. During the wedding, please contact the Matron of Honor at 518-709-9009
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We think the wedding is best described as semi-casual. Think sundresses and khakis. Something else to keep in mind is that you will be doing a small amount of walking on grass or uneven surfaces... so maybe this isn't the best place to break out the stilettos. Depending on weather, it may be a bit chilly at the top due to wind. We would recommend bringing a light jacket.

Question

Is there easy access to the top of the mountain?

Answer

Most of our guests will get to ride the chairlift to the top! You will enjoy amazing views of the southern Adirondacks on the trip up. If you are scared of heights or are physically unable to sit on the chair lift for the duration of the ride, there will be the most luxurious ATV you have ever seen waiting for you at the bottom of the mountain. Please find an on-site coordinator about a ride!

Question

What will happen if it rains that day?

Answer

Oak Mountain has graciously provided us the use of their reception hall as a backup plan. Because of this, the ceremony will still be held at Oak Mountain even if it rains! The reception is under a pavilion so the location will remain the same.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Please check your invitations. We tried to accommodate families that are traveling. When you RSVP online you can let us know how many will be attending. At the reception, there is a small playground that will hopefully help to entertain the little ones.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you click on the RSVP page and type in your name, you will see how many people are invited under your name! If you have any questions please contact the bride directly.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 1st at the latest so we can get final numbers to caterers and venues!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

By request of Oak Mountain, we recommend that you show up around 2:00 pm. This is to allow ample time to get everyone up the mountain by 3:00 pm.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

AMAZON!!! Hopefully this will help with shipping costs for those of you who are Prime members. We request that you have the item shipped to the address listed in our registry rather than bringing the gift to the wedding. If you would rather give cash or a gift card, please feel free to do so!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see our "Travel" page for more info on places to stay. Please note that if you would like to request info on shared housing, call the mother of the bride at 518-863-6198
