Flight
Gothenburg Landvetter is the one and only airport to fly into Gothenburg. There are direct flights from Edinburgh Airport and Manchester Airport with Callum's and Daisy's good ol' trusty Ryanair. If the Ryanair flights do not suit, there are also flights with KLM with a short stop in Amsterdam Schipol. We recommend that you start looking at flights as soon as you know you can attend the wedding. The earlier you can book your flights the better. From experience, the flights get more expensive the closer to the expected departure day.
Travel Note
If you are having to travel from Landvetter Airport, there are a few options how to travel to the final destination. 1. Car Rental There are car rental services at the airport, and you can rent a car for the duration of your stay. Since many of you may be on the same flight, why not consider carpooling and travelling together for a fun and social journey? 2. Flight Bus to Gothenburg A convenient bus service runs from Landvetter Airport into Gothenburg, offering an easy and affordable way to travel. However, this bus does not take you to Bjertorp. 3. Taxi We wouldn't recommend taking a taxi directly to Bjertorp Slott as it can be quite an expensive journey. However, if you need to get into town from Landvetter, you can use taxi services such as MiniTaxi, Uber, Bolt, or Taxi Göteborg for a more affordable trip.
Hotel
We have arranged hotel rooms for all of our beloved guests at Bjertorp Slott which is also where the ceremony, dinner and party will be held. If you are driving to the destination there is plenty of parking. If you incur any problems with your arranged travel then please let us know and we will do our best to help out.
Travel Note
If you're planning to arrive a few days early or extend your stay after the wedding to explore Gothenburg and spend more time with us, we'd be happy to recommend accommodation. We've arranged a 25% discount at the Radisson Blu Riverside Hotel on Lindholmen for guests who book through our dedicated link - click 'View' below to be taken to the hotel's website with the discount applied. Where available, the hotel will also offer complimentary room upgrades upon arrival. To help the hotel recognise which guests are part of the wedding, please let us know once you've booked so we can inform them.
Travel Note
When travelling to Sweden here are a few good to know topics: Sweden is typically a cash-free country, so you do not need to withdraw money when travelling here. All taxis, restaurants, and shops accept card payments, and cash is rarely necessary. However, if your bank charges foreign transaction fees, consider using a currency card for better exchange rates and fewer fees. We drive on the right side of the road.
