A Greenpoint establishment. Delicious pizza. Long lines. Once we saw Nathan For You dining at the bar.
CUP
When Denis lived in Greenpoint he got coffee here everyday, but mostly bc one of the baristas was a fan of his old band and gave it to him for free. Coffee is good, though. Also, everything there is very green.
Speedy Romeo
This our favorite pizza spot in our neighborhood (Bedstuy/Clinton Hill). It's pretty crowded, a little pricey, but really good. Favorite Pizza: The White Album.
Peter Pan Donut & Pastry Shop
Definitely grab a donut here, and definitely get here early enough to get one fresh out of the oven.
NYC Ferry
Ferries to Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn leave regularly from Greenpoint Landing, not far from our wedding venue. Easy way to get into the city plus great NYC views.
Baker's Dozen
Quality bagel spot in Greenpoint that Denis used to frequent back in his bachelor days. Order either Denis's regular -sesame seed bagel, not toasted with cream cheese and avocado or Emily's regular-Everything bagel not toasted, with scallion cream cheese.
Prospect Park
Prospect Park is the gem of Brooklyn, and a place where Denis, Xavi, and Emily spent a lot of time early in their relationship. It's further south in Brooklyn, but right next to Park Slope - a great Brooklyn neighborhood, and adjacent to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and the Brooklyn Museum.
Domino Park
Domino Park in Williamsburg is a beautiful waterfront park that just opened this year. Visit if you are in need of some green space and want to people watch (or pet watch) and catch some great views of Manhattan.
Ramona
Ramona is one of our favorite cocktail bars in Brooklyn, and where we are having our after party.
Cherry Point
A little pricey, but delicious. Get some oysters, a burger, or a charcuterie plate. The whole place smells like rosemary. It's amazing.
