There are 2 major airports in this region of Maine. There is Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport (BHB) and Bangor International Airport (BGR). BHB is located about 12 miles from downtown Bar Harbor. BGR is located about 50 miles from downtown Bar Harbor

Walking Distance
Due to the nature of Bar Harbor, almost everything is in walking distance of each other. If you are staying in the downtown Bar Harbor area the church and reception venues are walking distance from one another.

Island Explorer

In the summer, there is a free shuttle service around the island known as the Island Explorer. This bus circulates around the island through various towns as well as Acadia National Park.
