Denver International Airport
Probably the easiest and most economical way to fly is to book your flight to Denver International Airport (DIA), then rent a car and drive to Salida, Colorado. The "road trip" to Salida is approximately 3 hours with stops. Salida is the town where the Hampton Inn & Suites is located (along with shuttle transportation Friday night and Saturday night wedding events at the Steel Horse in Villa Grove, Colorado).

Colorado Springs Airport
Colorado Springs is an excellent airport choice for ease and convenience to the southern part of Colorado. If you fly in to Colorado Springs, you will need a rental car to make the 2 hour and 15 minute drive to Salida.

The Steel Horse is our one-stop wedding destination! All our wedding events will take place on-site at this gorgeous Colorado ranch property. Stay With Us! There is a limited number of "Glamping" tents and full hook-up RV camping spots available at the ranch. If you have the interest/means to stay at the ranch, we encourage you to do so! That will allow us to see more of you, reduce your transportation time and create a lovely little forest wedding atmosphere. Please send an email to saralynnhyatt@proton.me if you are interested in reserving one of the RV or “glamping”/camping spots for the weekend and we will make the necessary arrangements for you. These additional on-site spots are first-come-first-served.

Hampton Inn & Suites Salida
Not everyone loves to camp! 😉 No worries, we have a block of king-bed and two-queen-bed rooms reserved at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Salida. This hotel is where the majority of our guests will stay during our wedding weekend. The reduced nightly room rate for our wedding guests is $140 and includes continental breakfast and parking. Please book rooms before August 6, 2024 to get the discounted rate, and to ensure you have lodging in time - September can be a very busy tourist month in the mountains. There are two ways guests can book their stay using the group code: -Call the front desk at (719) 539-7850 and reference group discount code JSH -Use the website link below (click VIEW) and enter group discount code JSH at registration (Browser recommendation for easier registration - CHROME, not SAFARI.) Very Important! Transportation to the Wedding Events: Please note there will be provided shuttle transportation for the welcome event on Friday, 9/6 and for the main wedding event (ceremony & reception) on Saturday, 9/7. Departure from the Hampton Inn & Suites in Salida: FRIDAY 5:15 PM sharp. Return shuttle trips will be at 8:30 PM and 10:00 PM. SATURDAY 4:00 PM sharp. Return shuttle trips will be at 9:00 PM and 10:30 PM.
