The sport of Track & Field has brought us many things, with the most important being each other. We met at one of Delaney's high school track meets. Camilo was at the meet with another assistant coach from Siena Heights University on a recruiting mission. Being that Delaney had already committed to Siena, Camilo thought it was time he introduced himself to his future athlete. At this time, Delaney was on the line about to start the 4x800m relay, so Camilo planned to watch the race and then go say hello. He watched her do her thing on the track and hand off the baton, but just as she went to run off the track, she tripped and fell over the rail surrounding the track and tore a hole in the knee of her leggings (it was a very cold meet). Feeling the second-hand embarrassment, Camilo immediately turned around and pretended he didn't just watch the whole thing. Later during the meet, they finally met and laughed about Delaney's embarrassing fall. Little did they know, she'd be falling again but this time for Camilo - her track coach.
