4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Please wear what you are comfortable in!
The Baraat is a procession to celebrate our groom, Deepak! It involves live music, dancing, and lots of fun! While it does not typically hold religious significance, it is often performed to ensure a couple enters a happy marriage with their friends and family by their side. The Mehendi is a pre-wedding celebration involving Henna, food, dancing, and fun! We will be serving Indian dinner. Guests will be able to have Henna done by our Henna artists if they desire, but it is not mandatory! We encourage Indian dress or cocktail attire! Please wear what you are comfortable in. We would love to see our guests try out Indian clothes, and if you have questions about dress beforehand, we are happy to answer them! If Indian clothes are not your thing, then a cocktail dress or slacks and a button down will totally suffice! We want you to be comfortable and have fun. Suits/tuxedos/formal dresses not necessary.
8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Indian attire is encouraged! Ex/ saree or lehenga for women, and kurta for men. Cocktail attire is also appropriate! Feel free to wear one outfit all day, or one dress in the morning & a different dress at night! Suits encouraged for men not wearing Indian clothing. Tux not necessary.
Breakfast will be offered (vegetarian Indian food plus bagels, danishes etc). The Hindu Wedding ceremony involves a variety of prayers and rituals with various meanings focused on joining the two families together while honoring the ancestors. Further explanations of each portion will be provided on the wedding day, and explanations of what is occurring up front will be offered throughout. You are welcome to get up and take a walk for breakfast or to stretch your legs. You do not have to remain seated for the entire ceremony, although we are happy to have you watch to learn how we are uniting our families through the Hindu faith.
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Same morning attire!
Vegetarian Indian lunch will be provided. We will have mostly Indian food with a few Italian options. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions.
2:00 pm - 5:30 pm
There will be a break in the day after lunch before the traditional American ceremony. We encourage you to return to the hotel (for a nap) or explore the local area. If you are from out of town, we will provide transportation back to the hotel. There will be no alcohol served during lunch, so you are welcome, but not required, to drive for the morning portion if able. Parking is available at Lucien's. We will provide transportation for all from the hotel back to the venue for the evening ceremony and reception.
6:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Formal attire recommended. Indian attire also welcome! Please wear what makes you comfortable. Cocktail dress or long dress appropriate; black tie not required. Suits or tuxedos recommended.
Please remain seated and keep phones AWAY during the ceremony. We will be having an unplugged ceremony (no phones) so our photographers and videographers can capture the ceremony, and we want everyone to enjoy as much as we will.
6:30 pm - 11:45 pm
Same as ceremony attire! You are welcome to bring flip flops or a change of shoes to dance all night!
Cocktail hour will take place after the ceremony. There will be a variety of cuisines and an open bar. Sit down dinner will be served during the reception. We expect to see everyone on the dance floor to close out the night with us!
12:00 am - 1:00 am
Same attire.
Everyone is welcome to stay for the after party, but it is not required by any means! The bar will stay open and there will be some late-night bites available. We will provide transportation back to the hotel at the conclusion of the reception and the conclusion of the after party. No pressure!
