Deepak and Colleen met when they were 17. The pair sat next to each other during an interview at GW for the St. Bonaventure/GW combined BS/MD program. Deepak thought Colleen was cute (and still does). Colleen and Deepak were assigned the same interviewer. They had both done research on the interviewer to be prepared. On interview day, the assigned interviewer did not show up and they were given someone new who they did not research beforehand. Colleen interviewed first. When she returned to the holding room sitting next to Deepak, she told him everything she could remember about their interviewer and the questions she was asked. This was Deepak's first taste of Colleen's personality. Through this interaction, they were each other's first friend at St Bonaventure. Now, just under 11 years later, the couple is getting married.
