Getting from the Mexico City Airport to San Miguel de Allende

The easiest way to get from Mexico City to San Miguel de Allende is by car. If you do not feel comfortable driving in Mexico (its a bit chaotic), then the best option for you to get to San Miguel de Allende is by hiring a shuttle service. The shuttles can accommodate up to 14 passengers, and it is always cheaper in larger groups. If you are looking for fellow car poolers, let us know so we can try and help you out. Below, are the two shuttle companies that we recommend.

Buses from Mexico City to San Miguel de Allende

An alternative for getting to San Miguel de Allende from Mexico City is to take a Bus. We recommend a company called ETN Autobuses. There are approximately 10 buses a day leaving for San Miguel de Allende from the "Mexico Norte" bus station. The trip is about 4.5 hours long, but the tickets are very affordable, and the buses are comfortable. If you are going directly from the airport to the bus station, you will want to take a 30 minute cab ride for convenience.
