We are old, and already have a lot of stuff, and the only thing we need is the love and support of our family and friends. But some of you won't take no for an answer, and so we've put together some ideas for things that would make us think fondly of you for years to come.
And since the first several things are honeymoon related, my parents - wise souls that they are - recommended we share what we are up to. We are going to England, and we are going to walk across the whole darn thing, from one coast to the other. It's 200 miles of gorgeous hills and lakes and moors and heather, and it's also staying the nights in adorable country inns and rural farmhouses, and the occasional fancy hotel to rest our weary feet. So that's what's up with all the cute little places in England. :)
We have one Joule already and use it once or twice a week. We'd love a second one so that we can sous vide both meat and veggies at the same time (they cook at different temperatures).

Kirkby Stephen is one of the largest towns we'll travel through on our walk. Here we're staying at the Old Croft House, a Georgian townhouse built in 1750. It's been recently renovated and they provide foot baths and freshly baked cakes. I can't think of a reason why we wouldn't enjoy our time here. :)

Keld is a small village, the only services they have are a public toilet and a phone but there are many waterfalls nearby and a river rushes through the village. We're staying at the Frith Lodge - and anywhere that shows a photo of the family dogs in their advertising, is okay by me.

We actually rearranged the dates of our honeymoon because we wanted to stay at this hotel. This will be one of the nicest places we will stay during our journey and they also have a restaurant which according to our book, "if you have something to celebrate the exclusive Burgoyne Hotel has a superb four-course dinner." We like to think we have something to celebrate, so we made a reservation! :)

Oh come on! With a name like "Lovesome Farm" and that they have this photo (I see they named it "proud mum" when I saved it to my computer) on their marketing material. This seems like the kind of stay that can only happen in England. It will be both beautiful and memorable.
