Wedding Party

Olivia Reed

Bride

Olivia was born and raised in Nashville, TN. She attended St. Cecilia Academy in Nashville, New York University in NYC, and Georgetown University in Washington D.C., where she studied theology. She currently works at a law firm in downtown St. Louis. Outside of work, Olivia enjoys watching ballet, re-reading Harry Potter, and testing her limits with new hot sauces.

David King

Groom

David was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. He attended St. Louis University High School and the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, OK, where he studied math and chemistry. He is currently a fifth-grade math teacher in the East St. Louis school district. David enjoys watching the St. Louis Cardinals, playing video games, and letting the dog take him for a walk.

Monika Weisman

Maid of Honor

Monika and Olivia met as freshmen in high school, where they were the only two students nerdy enough to join the debate team. After a whirlwind journey to the top, they brought home a trophy, rested on their laurels, and decided there were better ways to spend their free time—like hanging out at the local convent. Despite the growing pains and cringeworthy moments of adolescence, Monika and Olivia have stuck together, and now they are both Very Serious Grown-Ups who work in law offices and are (almost!) married to teachers.

Kevin Boehm

Best Man

As Jupiter aligned with Mars, so it was that David and Kevin were steered by fate into meeting over two decades ago during a high school play, of all places. Am I right? It's so strange when you meet them. Nonetheless, these raffish youths gravitated to one another owing to a common, healthy disregard for authority and a fondness for humor, which they have maintained to this day. Kevin will hopefully have killed the best man speech at the wedding and is now just trying to relax.

Catie Brown

Bridesmaid

Catie and Olivia met in their freshman year of high school after this girl named Monika introduced them. Catie adored Olivia’s fun-loving spirit, and they spent the next four years passing notes in class, sleeping over at each others’ houses, and traveling the world (well, just Italy) together. They kept in touch through college and beyond, forever bonded by a love of Starbs dates. At the wedding, you’ll find Catie cracking jokes and talking about dogs.

Jimmy Strzelec

Groomsman

Jimmy, one of Dave’s most amazing friends you’ll ever meet… no really, Jimmy is awesome. If you've ever seen Jimmy and Dave together, you know their friendship runs way way back to their years in high school. Who knew that their bond for Dragon Ball and DDR tourneys would turn into best friends years later? As Dave was there for Jimmy on his wedding day, Jimmy is ecstatic to be there for his to his beautiful bride, Olivia. It’s important to note that Jimmy is also an amazing dancer, cuts a rug better than the genie, and has an incredible smile. He’s funny, a Taurus, and a healthy enneagram 1. Sorry ladies, he is taken and has two beautiful children with his wife Katie.

Kara King

Bridesmaid

Kara met Olivia at the family’s annual Super Bowl party. Though preoccupied with nursing school, she couldn’t help but notice Olivia and David being cute and cuddly on the couch. Kara and Olivia would go on to share memories together, as well as clothes--though she claims Olivia always wears them best. Kara is a helper who will always be there for you in a pinch.

Stu Condit

Groomsman

Stu and Dave met way back in high school, most likely in the computer lab if we're being honest. While spending too much time and money in arcades that happened to have Dance Dance Revolution machines, they constantly traded music, movie, and especially video game and stupid website recommendations. Stu is most likely to be spotted making goofy faces at his wife De from across the room or helping to corral their 4- and 2-year-olds, Harley and Clark.

Lauren Hackborn

Bridesmaid

Lauren was just relaxing alone on a couch when this blonde girl launched herself over the back and informed her she was going to be one of her best friends. Turns out the blonde girl was right! Lauren and Olivia have enjoyed a big sister/little sister relationship ever since (though not always sure which one is the ‘big sister.’) Olivia taught Lauren many important life lessons over the past few years such as how to do proper ballet stage makeup and that biting someone’s shoulder is a sign of affection. Lauren may seem quiet at first but feel free to bring up her band or her dog and try to get her to shut up about either one!

Sam King

Groomsman

David and Sam started out on rocky ground. As an infant, Sam fell on and broke David’s leg. In time, tensions eased. They played video games together—rather Sam would watch David play video games. They went on to actually become friends as well as siblings. Through chauffeuring Sam to high school, taking him to his first drag show at 21, and living together for a year in New York, David has been there for Sam. He looks forward to returning some of the favor.
