Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at St. Catherine Of Siena by 2 PM as the ceremony will start promptly at 2:30 PM. For our guests are traveling from New York, please account for the HEAVY I-84 and Merritt Parkway traffic! (30 miles from NY to CT can take you an hour to an hour and a half!)

Question

Will transportation be provided between the hotel, ceremony and reception?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided to or from the ceremony. Transportation will be provided from the Hyatt House Shelton to the reception. The buses will leave promptly at 5:15 PM and return to the hotel directly after the reception ends.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Shelton, CT. The reception will take place at The Waterview in Monroe, CT. Please see the "Events" page for additional details!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be indoors. The reception space at The Waterview does have an outdoor balcony and patio with beautiful views of Lake Zoar which guests can enjoy throughout the evening.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire: We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with tie and women wear a midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby until the cocktail hour begins at 6 PM. We will be serving passed hors d’oeuvres accompanied by an open bar, with dinner and dancing to follow. Guests who are staying at the Hyatt House should check-in to their rooms for the evening and wait for the transportation to bring them to the reception.
