Absolutely! We love your little ones and can’t wait to see them all dressed up. We’ll have a babysitter on-site during the reception with fun activities, so grown-ups can dance, mingle, and enjoy a cocktail (or two) worry-free. Just let us know how many kids you’re bringing when you RSVP!
We suggest dressing in formal and elegant styles—long or midi dresses for women, and suits or tuxedos for men. Feel free to choose any colors or prints you love to brighten up the celebration!
The north of Portugal in June generally enjoys mild to warm weather, with long and pleasant days. Average daytime temperatures usually range from about 70°F to 80°F, while evenings cool down to around 55°F to 65°F. It’s a great time for exploring—pleasantly warm but not too hot.
Our wedding will be a mix of both! The cocktail hour and sunset party will take place outdoors in a charming garden setting by the lake, while the dinner and dancing will move indoors, ensuring comfort no matter the weather.
The wedding ceremony will be bilingual, conducted in both Portuguese and English to make sure all our guests feel included and can share in the celebration.
European weddings are all about the food—and ours will be no different! We'll start with plentiful appetizers, including a seafood table, charcuterie boards, vegetarian options, and live showcooking. Then comes a formal six-course dinner, followed by a spread of dessert and cheese buffet tables. As for drinks? Expect a full open bar, signature cocktails, and a curated selection of Portuguese wines—so raise a glass and get ready to celebrate! If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP so we can accommodate you.
We don’t have a traditional gift registry. If you’d like to give a gift, a contribution in cash would be truly appreciated. You’re welcome to give it in person at the wedding, or, if you prefer, you can send it to the Tuckers at 1614 Shoreway Road, 50588 Storm Lake IA. Most of all, we’re just grateful to celebrate with you! Your love, presence, and support truly mean the most to us!
