Mission K9 Rescue has been operating over 10 years and has rescued an incredible 1,300 working dogs from all over the world! They've reunited 686 dogs with their former military handlers! How awesome is that??? The rest have been adopted out to loving homes. They have spent over $2 million on veterinary care alone. Please consider donating to help these good boys return home. Every week the Rescued Pets Movement saves hundreds of animals from Houston area shelters (often from the euthanasia list). Since their founding in 2013 they have saved over 87,000 pets! They set up and pay for transportation of these animals to their forever homes or even other no-kill shelters and rescues outside of of Texas where these babies have a better shot at finding their forever families. They even examine and treat them all!

Friends for Life is another Houston based rescue who prides themselves on saving animals regardless of their origin, breed, age or condition. For them: EVERY ANIMAL MATTERS. They rescue, rehabilitate, and adopt amazing animals from all around Houston. In addition to providing an amazing shelter for every animal, they are here to help solve the issue. They gave away 5,500+ spay/neuter surgeries for free, have provided neighbors with 50 tons of pet food in 2018 alone, set up a shelter where their humans stayed with their pets during Hurricane Harvey, and even had drive through vet exams and free vaccinations for pets during COVID.

Houston Pets Alive (HPA) works alongside animal welfare partners to save the lives of at-risk companion cats and dogs and finds them loving homes by supporting shelters, adoption, and fostering. Those local to Houston are aware of how many pets are euthanized every day due to overcrowding and HPA makes it their mission to save them.
