Our love story started during the 2016 Masters Golf Tournament weekend, not because we were die-hard golf fans, but due to a delightful twist of fate. Dave's brother, Matt, played cupid when a friend needed a place to crash after volunteering in Tijuana. Given San Diego's proximity to the border, it seemed like the logical choice, especially since they lived in LA. Jen, accompanied by her friend, stayed at Dave's place that night, courtesy of Dave's generous offer. As his housemates celebrated the Masters Golf Tournament (a story best left untold), a subtle connection formed between us. Fate, however, had other plans, and it wasn't until two weeks later that our paths crossed again. Dave, in need of a symphony companion for a college project in LA, found no takers among his friends. Enter Matt's friend and Jen, who miraculously had a free schedule. The night, set against the backdrop of a classical symphony, marked a turning point. It took that magical evening for us to finally swap contact info. From that moment on, our journey unfolded, overcoming the challenges of a long-distance relationship. In the spring of 2018, Jen made the move to San Diego, solidifying our commitment. We navigated through the highs and lows—from relocating to San Diego to tackling a pandemic, exploring Europe, and welcoming two fur babies into our lives. Our love transcended the miles, setting the stage for the next chapter. Fast forward to today, after a year and a half of living with Dave's parents, we've achieved a significant milestone—buying our own home. Eager and ready for what lies ahead, we look forward to celebrating our big day surrounded by our nearest and dearest, grateful for the unpredictable journey that brought us here.
