Where can we park?

Answer

The hotel that we have booked is .5 miles away from the venue. You can walk, take a Lyft, Uber or taxi, or use the complimentary Valet Service that will be located in front of the main entrance at The Cookery.

Is there a shuttle from the hotel?

Answer

If you are staying at the Durham Residence Inn McPherson (the hotel block), there will be free shuttles leaving for the ceremony at 5:00 pm and 5:10 pm. You can speak with the concierge to arrange a hotel taxi back home for a small fee.

Can I leave my car overnight?

Answer

We are unable to keep cars at the venue overnight, so if you are planning to imbibe, please do not use the valet service. You can use Uber, Lyft, or a taxi from your accomodations or a parking deck. We have also rented a bus that will take up to 50 people from the venue to an afterparty at Fullsteam Brewery.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony. We ask that everyone be present with us and let our amazing photographers and videographers capture this event. However, pictures are encouraged during the cocktail hour and reception!

What is the best way to share photos and videos?

Answer

Please download the app called "The Guest" and sign up using the code ERINDAVE. If you turn on "auto-share," all of the pictures and videos taken on your phone camera between 5:30 pm and 11:30 pm on November 3 will be uploaded right to the guest gallery. You can also choose select "auto-sharing off" and just manually upload pictures to the app. Don't worry, if you hate a picture that is auto-shared, you can just delete it! If you share any images on social media, please use our wedding hashtag! #alewisandforever

What should I wear?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be semi formal. Unless it is raining, the ceremony will be outside, and the reception will be indoors. All of the other events throughout the weekend will be casual.

Will food be served?

Answer

We will have hors d'oeuvre during cocktail hour and food stations during the reception, followed by dessert. Fullsteam also has food for purchase at the afterparty.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

We will be serving food at stations, so you will be able to select the food items that you wish to enjoy!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests may start arriving at 5:00 pm for the ceremony, which will take place at 5:30 pm.

Is there an ADA accessible entrance?

Answer

There are two separate ADA accessible entrances. Please use the front entrance on the left-side building to enter the front room (cocktail hour). Use the front entrance on the right-side building to enter the ballroom (dinner) and garden (ceremony).
