Kevin is Darryl’s younger brother, and for 31 years they grew up spending long hours playing volleyball and finishing difficult video games. Kevin developed a love for traveling, especially now that he has his travel companion pass. Kevin would do anything for Darryl and his family, though you’ll probably have to get him to stop monster hunting.
Meredith Connell
Matron of Honor
As Sydney’s older sister and first friend, Meredith has always been an inspiration and support, along with a healthy side of sisterly angst - including the year that pre-teen Sydney decided it would be more appealing to sleep on the floor of a spare closet-sized room than to continue sharing a bedroom with Meredith! In their more mature years, Mer and Syd have grown closer over their love of music, people (Sydney has ‘acquired’ some of Mer’s friends as her own friends over the years), Palm Springs getaways, and shared fashion sensibilities. Sydney loves Mer’s adorable sense of humor, skincare knowledge, and zen attitude.
Justin Kang

Justin and Darryl became friends in 7th grade when they met at Oxford Academy in Spanish class. They spent 12 hours filming a video that was 30 seconds long. Justin and Darryl did most things together in high school, including student council, band, volleyball. They met again in graduate school where Justin was pursuing his Master’s in Architecture at USC. To say that Justin is the life of the party would be an understatement. You will probably find him on the dance floor or you'll hear him from the dance floor.
Astrid O'Connor

Astrid is Sydney’s younger sister… but, as the first born twin, Astrid also acts as one of the ‘middle’ sisters of the O’Connor family. Sydney and Astrid share a love of dystopian fiction and running - they even ran the Portland Marathon together a few years ago! Sydney’s happiest memories with Astrid revolve around party prepping - freestyle dancing around the kitchen while assembling fresh rolls for a crowd. Sydney is inspired by Astrid’s idealism and culinary skills.
Scott Toohey
Groomsman
Scott and Darryl met at Darryl’s first fraternity event at UCSD, and they have had countless adventures since then. Both former residents of the Great State of Texas, Scott has shown that everything, mostly his loyalty and love of all things, is bigger from Texas. Scott has served as Darryl’s tastemaker to life in Los Angeles including beer (of which he brews his own) and beer, restaurants, and everything else. Currently serving as the coolest scrum master you will ever meet, there’s no one else Darryl would want by his side than Scott.
Ivy O'Connor

Ivy is Sydney’s youngest sister. Among her many incredible qualities, Ivy is warm and loving, and lights up a room with her pure energy and enthusiasm… no to mention her killer cocktail making skills (especially tropical ones!). Ivy is also a master karaoke singer, who can belt out Amy Winehouse and Carol King like no one else. Sydney admires Ivy for her ability to lead, sense of humor, and continually rosy outlook on life.
Dan Driver

Dan drove Darryl to his first fraternity event at UCSD, and they have been friends since that fateful night. While he is most recently a proud Bruin (boo) Master of Business Administrating, Dan has been Darryl’s driver in all ways. His yellow Nissan Xterra has been Darryl’s physical ride, and Dan’s earnest friendship has been Darryl’s motivation. From escape rooms in Prague to karaoke rooms in Seattle, Dan and Darryl have shared a love of music and travel. Be sure to ask him who his uncle is.
Ana Maria Kolenko
Bridesmaid
Ana and Sydney became friends in middle school, and bonded over their shared love of art, shopping, and John Mayer. They quickly became inseparable, and Sydney spent many an afternoon at Ana’s house, suntanning on the trampoline and talking about life. Ana inspired in Sydney a love of adventure and travel, which spanned from taking Sydney to try Indian food for the first time ever, to joining an epic family trip around Mexico. Sydney is in awe of Ana’s unparalleled trip and event planning skills, artistic aptitude, and amazing love and devotion for her friends.
Deepak Ravi

Deepak and Darryl met at UC San Diego at their fraternity, where a matching algorithm or clueless older member made Deepak Darryl’s lil Bro. Deepak is the resident physician of the group, and proud Bruin (boo). Deepak was the first person to show Darryl the ways of living a vegetarian life. While his constant traveling, biking, and deadlifting keep him busy, Deepak always makes time for those he cares about.
Stacey Apple

Stacey and Sydney have been friends since freshman year of high school. Although their relationship started out as a one-way rivalry - Sydney was jealous that Stacey had recently transferred from an elite performing arts high school and feared she would overshadow her in chamber choir - they bonded while acting as fairies in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and have been soul sisters ever since. They were even roommates for one blissful year! Sydney loves Stacey’s free spirit nature and admires her innumerable special talents - pastry chef, yogi, poet, musician, farmer, and everything in between.
Oliver Huoth
Ring Bearer
Oliver is Darryl’s nephew and Sydney and Darryl have known him his whole life. Though only 3 years old, his insatiable appetite for adventure and food can only be quelled by sweets. His current favorite activities including looking for and designating princesses, naming Southeast Asian fruits including, longan, rambutan, and searching cabinets for candy.
Jerni Huoth
Flower Girl
Jerni is Darryl’s cousin’s daughter (basically, his niece), and Oliver’s sister. Jerni is a fun-loving and super smart four year old who is a source of joy and laughter in Darryl and Sydney’s life. Jerni’s current favorite activities include coloring, writing, painting anyone’s nails within reach, and letting Oliver get away with everything. We love Jerni’s incredibly smart and loving personality.
Amanda Goodrich
Officiant
Amanda was Sydney’s first friend in Los Angeles. Amanda also happens to be an early proponent of #dardney, who both foresaw and encouraged Darryl and Sydney to get together. Amanda met Darryl and then Sydney as a fellow PhD student at USC, and Sydney also had the good fortune to move into Amanda’s spare bedroom during her first year in LA. Amanda is incredibly giving, kind, inspiring and resourceful, and Sydney and Darryl are so grateful that she will be officially marrying us!
