Birkhill Castle

We’re thrilled to share that we’ll be spending all three nights at the stunning Birkhill Castle! This historic estate has been the seat of the Earl of Dundee since the 18th century and has been meticulously maintained and recently updated as an exclusive rental. Set on over 1,500 acres of private land, Birkhill is brimming with amenities, including scenic walking trails, beach access (perfect for relaxing, though a bit chilly for swimming!), a golf driving range, billiards, a beautiful garden, and so much more. One of the best parts? The venue rental includes lodging for all our guests! Rooms will be assigned based on several factors, including RSVP order and any special needs. Most guests will stay in the main house, but a few will enjoy the recently renovated stable cottages, just a short walk away on the property. If you have specific preferences—whether you’re looking for extra privacy, quiet, or anything else—please don’t hesitate to let us know. We’ll do our best to accommodate everyone and make your stay as comfortable as possible. We can’t wait to share this incredible experience with all of you!

The best airport to fly into to reach Birkhill is Edinburgh Airport. We are actively tracking flight prices from Austin (where most of y'all are) to Edinburgh, and will blast out emails and texts to everyone when good prices are available. If you are flying from a different city than Austin, we highly recommend setting some flight alerts from your departure city.

Getting to Birkhill

Once you are in Edinburgh, the easiest way to get to Birkhill Castle is a quick 45-minute drive. We plan to arrange for guests who are arriving at similar times to shuttle together from the airport in order to help reduce travel costs. Uber and taxis are a great option. Additionally, there is plenty of parking onsite if you are renting your own car and would like to park at the venue. Just a reminder that though the roads are similar to our own, they do drive on left, so be sure you're comfortable with that prior to renting a car!
