Question
How do I reserve a room?
Answer
In short - you don't! As a part of our venue rental fee, all lodging is already covered for our guests. All we need from you is to get yourself to Birkhill and we'll handle the rest. If you have special requests for rooms such as: -Quiet (aka way from the main house) -Extra privacy (on a top floor) -Easy mobility (on a bottom floor) -Roomies (bunk with your bff) Let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate!

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
We love you and your boo, but unfortunately we're working with extremely limited space for lodging and events. We wanted to have an experience where all of our guests could stay in one place together and though we are thrilled to have found that place, it does mean that we can't accommodate all plus ones. If a spot opens up and you have a partner who wasn't originally invited, we'd be happy to consider adding additional folks on a case-by-case basis.

Can I share my invitation or website link with my friends?
Answer
We love sharing, but unfortunately due to our limited guest list, we ask that you refrain from sharing our website link or your invitation video with anyone who is not named on the video invite. This could result in unnecessary confusion for folks we were unable to invite.
Question
Do I need to come for all three nights?
Answer
No! Thursday (10/16) night's welcome event is optional, though definitely encouraged for all... because it's going to be a good time. We do request that all guests who RSVP 'yes' join us for all of Friday (10/17) and Saturday (10/18), because both days will include important events.

What do I wear?
Answer
Thursday night will be casual. Wear what you're comfortable in. Friday night will be slightly fancier, cocktail attire recommended. Saturday night will be formal. Please consider wearing darker colors and avoiding lighter shades for the evening's events. Will my room be private or shared?
Answer
Most couples will be given a private room with a private bathroom. We may ask friends attending without a partner to room with other friends, but we will make sure that any roommates are comfortable with sharing their space together before finalizing assignments.

What will the weather be like?
Answer
Scotland's weather is... unpredictable, but you can mostly bet on cool days, chillier evenings, wind, and a few scattered instances of rain. Please bring a good jacket and warm shoes.

Will food be provided?
Answer
Yes, of course. No one needs to deal with a hangry Annie. We will have premade or catered dinners. Breakfast and lunch food will be lighter, but provided for all folks. We also have multiple full kitchens for guests to use if you prefer to cook your own meals. Oh and the bar will be self service, but open throughout your time at Birkhill. Cheers!

What if I have dietary restrictions?
Answer
Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary preferences or restrictions so we can coordinate with our vendors. Just a heads-up: Scotland’s native cuisine might not always be the most vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free friendly, but don’t worry—most caterers and restaurants offer options for all of these diets. We’ll make sure everyone is well taken care of!
