We are so excited to be getting married in Tucson - a place very, very special to us. We met in Dallas in 2016 during a time when things were a little up in the air for both of us. Danielle had just returned from a long summer in Greece and was trying to figure out her next move and Nick was looking for jobs out of state - with his heart set on Arizona. A little more than a year later, Nick was living in the Pinetop-Lakeside area of northern Arizona and Danielle was living in Tucson. We dated long-distance for nearly a year and a half! Nick would regularly make the beautiful (but sometimes stressful) 4-hour drive through the remote mountain roads from Lakeside to Tucson to spend weekends with Danielle. One of his more notable trips included a mountain lion that decided to jump in front of his truck while he was driving through Salt River Canyon! (Don’t worry, the cat made it across safely). Long distance finally came to an end when Nick landed a job in Tucson in 2018. We grew so much in Tucson - both as individuals and together as a couple. We always loved going hiking and camping throughout the different mountain ranges surrounding the city, we loved the dark skies that make for some awesome stargazing, the native and migratory birds and rich biodiversity throughout the whole state of Arizona and, most importantly, the lifelong friends that have become our family. We were so lucky to live there and it will always hold a special place in our hearts, which is why we’ve decided to hold such a special occasion for us there. So much has happened in our more than five years together - the loss of loved ones, job changes, five moves, a pandemic - basically, many stressful challenges that can push a couple to their limits! But we only grew stronger together as a couple through the difficult times. After five years, we are so elated to be starting another chapter together. And in the company of all of our loved ones! We are so giddy to see all of our dear family members and friends from so many different chapters of our lives come together for a weekend in beautiful Tucson. We hope you can join us!
