Florence is the closest airport to the venue (approximately 40km away). Pisa International Airport - PSA (115km) and Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport - BLQ (120km) are also somewhat close. Although farther, flying into Rome via Leonardo da Vinci International Airport - FCO and taking a train to Florence may be worth investigating to see if it proves more cost effective.

We're providing GROUP transport from FLR airport to the Castle on Monday, October 20th. 🚌 But here's the catch: there's a strict pick-up window at both 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM that you absolutely must meet to hop on board. The shuttle will be at the airport for convenience and it is a very inexpensive train ride from Florence for those already in town. We'll be reaching out to everyone who opts for this to coordinate the exact timing and where in the airport the shuttle can be found. We can't wait to see you there! 🎊

The nearest train station to Castello di Ristonchi is Pontassieve, accessible from any major city in Italy. You can take a train to Pontassieve, which is about 30 minutes from Florence, 2 hours from Pisa, 1 hour from Bologna, and 2.5 hours from Milan, Rome, or Venice. From Pontassieve station, you can catch Bus 343 A Saltino Centro up the mountain and get off at the 'Paterno_V' stop in Pelago (15 minutes). From there, you can arrange a pickup or, if you're feeling adventurous and have light luggage, enjoy a scenic 30-minute forest walk to the castle.
