Maid of Honor
Nicole and I first met in 2004 in McLean, VA, where we grew up as neighbors. She is my oldest friend and the closest person I have to a sister. It feels like Nicole has always been present in my life. She spent endless hours in our home and we "grew up" together, even attending the same high school and carpooling for four years. In fact, the two times I moved to another state, Nicole has been in the passenger seat right next to me, being the most entertaining of co-pilots! And, although many miles apart for the last few years, we have remained the closest of friends. We have endless wonderful memories together, and she has shared most of the major events in my life. Nicole has always shown me love, but I think the only thing she may love more than me is my mom's Poblano Chicken, which unfortunately won't be served at our wedding! Twenty years of friendship has flown by, and I am so blessed to have her by my side on our special day.
Best Man
Joe is my brother and Best Man in our wedding. Born and raised in California, we have shared countless memories together -- like playing baseball from the time we were really young kids, to blaming broken windows and injuries on each other. Now, as we both prepare to get married in 2025, I can confidently say that having him by my side on this journey means the world to me. It’s an honor to have a Best Man who not only supports me, but is genuinely excited to stand by my side as I marry the love of my life. And, I know how happy he is to be gaining a sister who he gets to tease! Though he may be younger, he has taught me a lot about life, and I am incredibly blessed to have him as my brother, friend and Best Man.
Groomsman
My younger brother, Jackson, has spent the last year and a half studying and living in Rome! He has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. Growing up alongside him and experiencing childhood, and now adulthood together, has been both a joy and a privilege. Knowing that he will be standing with Daniel as a groomsman fills my heart with so much joy because he will be gaining a "brother", and close friend. The way he has embraced and admired the man I’m marrying only deepens my love and gratitude for him. Jackson is adventurous, thoughtful, witty, and has a genuine way of making everyone feel special -- especially me. Having him play such an important role in our wedding day is such a gift, and one more memory I can't wait to share as brother and sister.
Bridesmaid
Jane and I met at cheerleading camp during the summer of 2011, shortly before our freshman year of high school in Arlington, VA. Jane once told me she knew we were going to be good friends because I shared my mother's homemade chocolate chip cookies with her, and thanks to those cookies, we are now lifelong friends! We stayed close during our college years, and after graduating eventually became housemates, sharing a cute little home in Northern Virginia with Nicole and Sam (also members of our wedding party). Jane still lives in Arlington, VA, but now shares a home with her boyfriend James. Jane was the first person I talked to about Daniel, and she ALWAYS told me to give him a chance...and, she sure was right!
Bridesmaid
Cory and I met in college in 2017, thanks to Emmy who introduced us. We became fast friends and soon afterwards, roommates in the "Orange House"! Cory always made sure our house was filled with laugher, which is something I am so grateful for...especially during the stressful times. Cory currently lives in Los Angeles, CA, with her wonderful boyfriend Zach and their new puppy, Oscar. She is fiercely protective of her friends and the people she holds closest to her big heart, always making sure we are happy and getting the love we deserve from others. We are thrilled she will be standing with us when we say "I do"!
Groomsman
Adrian is my (Sloane's) cousin, currently living far away in Bozeman, Montana, and the older brother of Gabriel. We grew up together in Northern, VA, and we were so lucky to not only bond as cousins, but as friends. We attended the same high school, shared many of the same friends, and have always supported each other. As the eldest boy cousin, he holds the top spot in our close-knit “Buns” group -- a nickname our parents gave us because the four of us were inseparable growing up. Adrian and I always teased our younger brothers, Gabriel and Jackson, but no matter what, we always had each other’s backs. So, when I first introduced him to Daniel, I knew I could count on his honest opinion. I’m so happy Daniel passed the test, and even happier that Adrian will be traveling to be a part our special day!
Groomsman
Gabriel is my (Sloane's) cousin and currently lives in Vero Beach, Florida. He was raised a few miles away from me, which thankfully, allowed us to share endless great experiences while growing up. We attended the same high school in Arlington, VA, along with my other cousin, and Gabe's older brother, Adrian. From his first day of high school, he was always looking out for me (even though I was older) making sure no boy came near me unless they passed his "what are your intentions" test! Years later when Gabriel (along with Jax and Adrian) gave their "stamp of approval" after meeting and spending time with Daniel, it meant the world to me. I am so happy to know he’ll be standing up with us on our wedding day and can't wait to add this to our shared great experiences!
Bridesmaid
Keaton and I met at High Point University in 2015, during our freshman year of college, thanks again to Emmy who introduced us. Charlotte, Emmy, Keaton, and I quickly became good friends the first week of college and have remained close ever since. Keaton was another "Orange House" member. Her love of Pho always resulted in trips to our favorite spot in college to enjoy soup, girl time, and lots of laughter -- something we still like to do when we are together! She recently married her sweet new husband, Issac in October 2024, and was probably the most relaxed bride EVER, because of her light and free-spirited personality. I'm hoping she will rub some of that off on me!!
Bridesmaid
Emmy and I met on the first day of college at HPU, in 2015. In fact, while moving into my dorm room my mom saw Emmy across the hall and said, " I have a feeling you two are going to be really good friends", and she was so right! Ten years later, Emmy is still one of my best friends. One of the things we most love about her is the amount of questions she asks. Especially true, when curious about something, or in general, deep diving for more information. Her questioning of my feelings for Daniel that led me to the realization of wanting to marry him, before I had even admitted it to myself! Emmy lives in Charlotte, NC, with her boyfriend Joe (the teammate of Daniel's mentioned in Our Story).
Groomsman
Logan is my (Daniel's) cousin and "bonus" brother. Growing up in the same home with Joe and I in California (and still living in Cali today), he has always been a part of our family in every way. Being just one year younger, we played on the same baseball teams throughout our childhood, pushing each other to be better while always celebrating each other’s victories. That’s why I know Logan is genuinely excited for me as I step into this next chapter of life. Having him stand with me on our wedding day means the world, and I’m grateful that he will be traveling all the way to Italy to support his "brother".
Bridesmaid
Sam and I first met at the University of VA in 2017 while I was visiting Nicole. I immediately liked her and thought how lucky Nicole was to have a friend like her. Fast forward to a few years later, and we became housemates in Arlington, VA (along with Nicole and Jane), where we became the closest of friends. Truthfully, I think our mutual obsession with good food, card games and ice cream created an instant bond. Her contagious laugh is one of my favorite things about her, and I know there will a lot more laughter this October! I can't wait to share our excitement over homemade pasta, fun drinks and gelato while in Rome, surrounded by the people I love most. Sam currently lives in Washington, DC with Nicole.
Bridesmaid
Charlotte, you know... Charlotte just kind of showed up on my dorm room floor one day with her Subway sandwich at the beginning of our freshman year in college, and the rest is history! She was another of my "Orange House" roommates. We shared multiple classes over our four years at High Point, making it fun to always have a live in study buddy! Daniel, Charlotte and I all had the same major, and she was the one Daniel used to get into our group project senior year. So, I guess Charlotte is the one we can thank for introducing us! Charlotte currently lives in Charlotte, NC, in the same building as Emmy and Joe, and I felt so lucky to see them frequently while Daniel and I lived there, too.
