Explore around downtown. Calle Primera (first street) is the main drag but there are shops, restaurants, and bars all over the place. Count the drunk cruise ship tourists. Be sure to it make it down to the the harbor and walk along el Malecon. Fountain show with lights, live music if you're lucky, and the largest flag you've ever seen.
If you check out this historical building make sure to get a large margarita from Bar Andaluz, which claims to be the authentic place of origin of the margarita!
130 year old cantina with Mariachi. Local favorite.
Valle de Guadelupe is kind of like Mexico's Napa Valley. Depending on the winery it's about a 30-60min drive out of town. Fun day or half-day trip. Some of our favorite wineries: Las Nubes, Madera 5, Decantos, Liceaga (our venue), and L.A. Cetto. Go to Cuatro Cuatros for an insane ocean view! Wine tasting options in town: Cava L.A. Cetto, or Bodegas de Santo Tomas
There is a big craft beer scene in Ensenada, check out some of the many breweries. Here are a few of our favorites: Wendlandt, Aguamala, and Alta Baja
The ceviche and fish tacos in Ensenada are amazing, do not miss out. Best ceviche carts: La Guerrerense, Mariscos el Güero, Mariscos Navolato. Best fish tacos: La Avioneta (try the marlin), Marco Antonio. *Taqueria tip: keep track of what you ate, they'll ask you at the end when you go to pay.
Our recommendations: El Trailero (favorite), La Chispa, El Paisa *Taqueria tip: keep track of what you ate, they'll ask you at the end when you go to pay.
