Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA)

The main airport serving Manila is the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).The airport code for NAIA is MNL. For our international guests: We suggest arriving by the evening of Sunday, January 14th. This will give you a full day before the wedding to adjust to the time difference - Manila will be 13 hours ahead of Boston in January 2024. Booking flights to MNL: We like using Google flights to search for flight options. It allows you to track prices for your flight itinerary (I've saved $344 using this feature), and it shows you prices from the airline as well as websites like Priceline and Expedia. Please feel free to ask Danica and Dan if you need any help, we fly to Manila a lot!

House Or Rental

Airbnb

If you decide to book an Airbnb, please try to find one located as close as possible to the EDSA Shangri-La hotel (1 Garden Way, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong). There seem to be Airbnbs listed that are across the street from EDSA Shangri-La. There's a lot of traffic congestion in Manila, and we'd like for you to minimize experiencing it as much as possible. Please contact Danica before booking your Airbnb. We just want to make sure you're in the right location!

Airport Transfers to and from EDSA Shangri-La

If you're staying at EDSA Shangri-La, we will be coordinating your airport transfers. Please feel free to send your flight confirmation emails to drsquared2020@gmail.com so we can make sure your ride to and from EDSA Shangri-La is reserved for you.

Rental Car

Grab

Grab is the local version of Uber, and operates much in the same way. Download the app, and book a ride through it. We suggest using this over taxis, as this option is much safer. Please know that we'll be arranging transportation for all wedding-related events and activities we've organized.

Travel Note

Going to Cebu

We are flying to Cebu the Thursday after the wedding (January 18) and staying until Monday, January 22, then flying directly from Cebu back to Boston via South Korea. We completely understand if you need to get back home by Sunday, January 21. We have guests who will be staying in Manila to fly out Saturday, January 20 so please do whatever will work best for you and your schedule. If you would like to come to Cebu, please let us know via text or email (drsquared2020@gmail.com) so we can arrange your airport transfers, as well as share information with you about suggested flights and your hotel. Please note that we are not flying back to Manila to get home but flying from Cebu.
