Rain or shine, we’re celebrating! Everything will take place at the oceanfront Harriss Cottage. If the skies are clear, we’ll be soaking in the golden light and ocean air outdoors. If we get some Outer Banks rain? We’ll cozy up inside the house and still enjoy every minute. The truth is—we trust the weather will be just right, whatever it brings.
Think timeless, coastal, and true to you. For the ceremony and celebration, feel free to dress up in a way that feels a little elevated and a little effortless—like something you’d wear to a romantic evening by the ocean. Flowing fabrics, linen, dressy jumpsuits, maxi dresses, blazers, button-downs—all are welcome. Footwear: Sand-friendly or flat shoes are perfect (heels not recommended). This is not a black-tie event, but it’s not super casual either. If you’re coming from the South or love a little flair—bring it! It’s all about expressing yourself with comfort and class.
We’re keeping things open and flowing, but here’s what we’re envisioning: Thursday & Friday: We’ll be doing some light DIY setups, sharing food, and hanging out at the Harriss Cottage (where the ceremony will take place). Nothing formal, but we’d love to see your faces if you’re in town early. Friday Evening: We’re not planning a formal rehearsal, but we would love to gather with a few family and friends to connect, toast, and enjoy the moment. Saturday: Wedding day festivities begin in the afternoon with the ceremony at 5:30 PM, followed by our golden hour reception, a seafood boil and an evening of celebration! Sunday Morning: If you’re still in town, we’d love to gather for breakfast or coffee—location and time TBD. Just stay tuned!
