Oceanfront cocktail
We’d love for everyone to arrive by 5:00 PM so there’s time to get settled, take in the view, and grab a refreshment before the ceremony begins at 5:30 Attire for the evening is what we’re calling “oceanfront cocktail” — dressed up, but relaxed. Think flowy dresses, jumpsuits, lightweight suits, linen or anything that feels beautiful and true to you. We’ll be on the sand and decks, so barefoot or flats are welcome. Come relax, connect, and ease into the celebration with us — we’re so happy you’re here.
5:30 pm
We’re so excited to exchange vows with our favorite people surrounding us as the sun dips into the sea. The ceremony will take place outdoors—weather and wind included—so feel free to bring a light layer. This is the sacred, heartfelt start to the evening, and we can’t wait to share it with you. If the skies decide to shift, we have a cozy Plan B ready inside the house. There are beautiful wraparound porches and covered decks to gather beneath, and we’ll simply tuck in together and let the ocean set the mood in its own way. Rain or shine, it will be intimate, warm, and full of love.
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
From 6:00–7:00 PM, we’ll ease into cocktail hour. We’ll have music playing outside, drinks in hand, and a beautiful grazing table to snack on. If you’re not familiar, a grazing table is simply a large spread of light bites—cheeses, fruits, breads, dips, and little nibbles—to enjoy while you mingle. It’s meant to be relaxed, delicious, and easy. Around 7:00 PM, the Outer Banks seafood boil will get started and dinner will flow from 7:00–9:00 PM. It’s a classic coastal feast and something we absolutely love—it feels so right for a beach celebration. Guests will help themselves family-style. And don’t worry—if seafood isn’t your thing, there will still be plenty to enjoy at the table. Whether you’re a seafood lover or prefer something a little simpler, you’ll be well fed. Think casual, coastal, and full of flavor. This is very “us,” and very Outer Banks.
9:00 pm - 11:00 pm

If you’re still in celebration mode after dinner, we’d love for you to join us just a few minutes down the road at one of our favorite local spots — Swells’a Brewery. We’ll have a DJ setting the vibe, so bring your dance moves! It’s a cool indoor/outdoor space right by our house with great music, good drinks, and an easy, laid-back vibe. Feel free to change into something more comfortable if you’d like — this is a casual, fun way for us all to keep the celebration going, connect, and wrap up the day together. They close at 11 PM, but we’ll be there from around 9:00 on — come by if it feels right!
