What does Comfortable Fancy mean?

Answer

We want you to look snazzy for our swanky shindig, but we also want you to be comfortable and wear whatever makes *you* feel fancy. Not into dresses? No problem. Wear pants (or a suit, we are!). Wondering if you're supposed to avoid white or black? Don't worry about it. Wear whatever color you want, we don't care! Have a ballgown or tux lurking in your closet you're looking for an occasion to wear? Awesome! Wear it! But please don't feel like you have to go out and spend money on a new outfit if you don't want to. We already know you clean up nicely!

Should I stay at the wedding hotel?

Answer

It's up to you! We have a room block with a discounted rate and it'll certainly be convenient, but you're more than welcome to stay with a friend, at another hotel, or find an Air BnB. The Loop is very easy to access via public transportation. We'd recommend looking for a place near the Red Line (Old Town, Lincoln Park, Lakeview) or Blue Line (Noble Square, Wicker Park, Logan Square). You can also Lyft or Uber to any of those neighborhoods for less than $20. Please just factor in rush hour traffic when planning your transit!
