As seen on Netflix's "Chef's Table: Pizza" they have unique thin crust pizza, fresh salads, and legit ice-cream.
Calling all Scotch and softshell crab lovers; Scotch Lodge is moody, has a plethora of scotches, bourbons, and whiskeys, and elevated small bites. It is difficult to get in for large groups without a reservation but the often times have walk-ins available for 2-4 guests.
Dane's fave. Steam burgers. Cool wines. Enough said.
An affordable and fun little Thai spot that does fried-chicken exceptionally well.
Wood fired Mediterranean food. Everything is tasty here, but don't sleep on the soft-serve ice cream!
If you can book reservations in advance, they have $1 oysters every day from 4:00-5:00 PM!

A cool spot in NW Portland (close to our apartment) with small bites and fun natural wines.
Our friend Gabe Pascuzzi's spot that serves up wood-fired chicken (and other proteins) with delicious sauces and fresh seasonal vegetables. Gluten free and paleo-friendly.
A short walk from our apartment, there are plenty of food options for a quick lunch. You can walk from here to 21st and 23rd, which both have lots of cute shops, bars, and restaurants.
Sometimes called trendy-third, NW 23rd is a fun place to get some steps in and do some tax-free shopping! There are lots of cute shops, bars, restaurants and plenty of good people watching.
For all of our adventure buddies, Forest Park is 10-15 minute car ride from the downtown area and there are numerous hiking trails. It does get busy on the weekends but weekday mornings are an ideal time to explore the area.
The Portland Saturday Market is the largest continuously operated outdoor market in the U.S.! Lots of local artists and other vendors gather near the waterfront to sell their handmade items.
For those of you renting cars the Oregon Coast is beautiful — but don't expect to swim in the water because it is frigid! Cannon Beach is one of the most popular cities, but other cute beach towns include Astoria (this is where we got engaged!), Manzanita, Pacific City, and Neskowin.
Hood River is the wind-surfing capital of the U.S. It's about an hour drive from Portland and there is so much to do in the area. You can go to an orchard and pick fruit, visit Hiyu Wine Farm (one of our favorites!), hit up Pfreim for some brewskis, or pack a lunch and head to one of the many trailheads in the area for a day hike. The options are endless and the town is super cute.
Multnomah Falls is a waterfall located on Multnomah Creek in the Columbia River Gorge and is about a 30-45 minute drive from downtown depending on traffic. It's a tourist must-see but it does get rather busy on the weekends.
Located in Washington Park, the Portland Rose Garden is so pretty. There are hundreds of species of roses and other flowers and it’s a true delight to walk thru the endless rows of rainbow-colored beauties that permeate the air with their wonderful scent. The Rose Garden is also near Hoyt Arboretum (our ceremony venue) and the Oregon Zoo. There are tennis courts and walking trails in the area, and it is about a 10–20-minute drive from the downtown area depending on traffic.
