Maid of Honor's
Kelsey and Lindsey are Alyssa's older sisters. They have both played a large part in Alyssa's life. They are more like second moms than older sisters. They have stepped up for their little sister in many ways, and Alyssa is extremely thankful to have them. Alyssa couldn't choose just one to have this special role at her wedding, so she asked if they both would accept the title. Kelsey and Lindsey are so happy to see how far Alyssa and Dane have come since they met in high school and are excited to welcome Dane into the family!
Ayden Denmon
Best Man
Ayden is one of Dane and Alyssa's best friends. Dane and Ayden's friendship grew stronger after graduating high school and working at FedEx together unexpectedly. Ayden's genuine care and love for others is something that both Dane and Alyssa admire about him. Ayden was eager to accept the role of Best Man and is excited to celebrate Dane and Alyssa this winter!
Jean Maldonado
Best Man
Jean has been one of Dane's best friends since middle school and were both competitive wrestlers. Their friendship is so strong that they unknowingly scheduled a vacation to Dallas at the same time. Dane and Jean share very similar interests. Jean is excited to be part of Dane and Alyssa's special day.
Abbi Guse
Bridesmaid
Despite attending high school together, Abbi and Alyssa became friends in 2022 when they first competed at Miss Alaska. The idea of sisterhood within the Miss America organization shines through their friendship. Abbi is extremely outgoing, talented, and brilliant, studying Dance and Pre-Vet at Purdue University. She inspires everyone around her to be confident and kind!
Hannah Hamman
Bridesmaid
Hannah is Kelsey's daughter and Alyssa's eldest niece. Alyssa was just 7 years old when Hannah was born! They think of each other more like sisters, even though Hannah still calls Alyssa "Auntie." Hannah was just 7 years old when Dane and Alyssa started dating, and now 7 years later, will be a Bridesmaid at their wedding! To Hannah, Dane has been a part of the family for many years. She is excited to be a part of the wedding and show her love to her Auntie and Dane (and to wear a pretty dress)!
Holden Hamman
Groomsman
Many of you likely know who Holden is. He is Kelsey's son and Alyssa's eldest nephew. He and Alyssa grew up more like siblings. His presence in Alyssa's life was essential to her growth and passion for advocacy. Holden and Dane love playing video games and having Nerf wars with each other. Holden often asks Alyssa to "Go Away" so he can have time with Dane. Alyssa and Dane are so excited to have Holden by their side on their wedding day.
River Larson
Flower Girl
River is Lindsey's daughter and is just 7 years old! One of Alyssa's best memories as a child was being the flower girl at Lindsey and Nick's wedding when she was 6 years old. Alyssa is excited to carry on the tradition and hopes that this is just as special of a memory for River.
Angie and Shaun Black
Parents of the Groom
Despite both growing up in Tucson, Arizona, Angie and Shaun met in December 1996 as Angie worked with Shaun's older sister. Shaun was living in Anchorage, Alaska when they met, but in 1997 Angie made the move. On November 1, 1998, Shaun and Angie were married in their hometown of Tucson. They had Dane, their only child in 2001. They have had four dogs, and are on their fifth, Dutch the Saint Bernard. They still live in Anchorage and have supported Dane and Alyssa throughout their relationship. While it already feels like Alyssa is part of the family, they are excited to celebrate their marriage this winter.
Amy Guse
Officiant
Dane and Alyssa wanted to find someone equally special to both of them. When asked to officiate the wedding, Amy, Abbi's mom cried and said "I don't think I can make it through without crying!" Which is exactly why she is perfect for the job! Amy and her husband Jeremy have welcomed Alyssa and Dane into their family. She has been vital to wedding planning and even surprised Alyssa by purchasing her dress. The Guse family has a heart of gold!
