What does dressy-casual mean for this event?
Answer
Please dress comfortably (and warm), a nice shirt and jeans are more than sufficient for our events!

What is the theme or colors of the wedding?
Answer
Our wedding color is monochromatic blue, meaning different shades of blue! We hope to embrace the Winter Wonderland! Note that you do not have to wear blue.

Can I bring a guest or plus one?
Answer
Due to the size of our venue, we are only able to accommodate those named on the invitations/RSVP webpage. Thank you for understanding.

When do I need to RSVP?
Answer
No later than November 15, 2024. Please talk to the bride or groom about any complications!

I’m definitely coming, when should I start planning?
Answer
We encourage you to book your travel right away. We recommended Alaska Airlines for flights as they have the most options in and out of Anchorage Airport. Please see the travel page on this site for hotel recommendations.

What will the weather be like?
Answer
COLD! January in Anchorage is notorious for being cold, especially for people not from here. Please bring boots and a coat at least! Layers and wool will do you right!

Will there be a transfer to the reception?
Answer
Nope! The ceremony and reception are at the same venue!

Is there sunlight in Anchorage in January?
Answer
Yes! Anchorage gets sunlight year-round, unlike the northern parts of Alaska. We do experience less sunlight during winter and many gloomy days. Our wedding date is after winter solstice so we will be gaining daylight every day!

What if I have a dietary requirement?

Please inform the bride or groom before 11/15/2024, with your RSVP.

Will you be serving alcohol?
Answer
YES! We will not have a bartender, so drinks will be self-served.

What is the form of transportation?
Answer
The venue has a large enough parking space for all of our invited guests. That said, if you plan on drinking, please coordinate a rideshare or taxi. Anchorage has Uber! Please also know there will be snow, so if you are uncomfortable driving in the snow, please carpool or use other services.

When will we eat?
Answer
Appetizers and snacks will be served following the ceremony. Final dinner arrangements are still in the works, please check back closer to the wedding.
