Cabins have been filled by family & wedding party. There are 2 bunkhouses - each with 2 bunkbeds in them, that you can rent for $100 each for all 3 nights. If you are interested in those, LMK and I will put you in contact with the campground. These do have electricity, but do not have their own toilets. There is a public shower/toilet area available. Additionally, you can rent or hookup an RV or use one of our tents if you are feeling adventurous. See the notes on the travel page for details. There is a 10% discount off of the rates on the web,
Gee. That is too bad to hear. Lucky for you, this is way more of a glamping experience. We expect most people will not stay at the campground, since the most likely people to tent are in the wedding party - including the bride and groom :) We have listed nearby Inns on the Travel page, as well as a link to AirBnb. There are PLENTY of gorgeous cabins available close to the campground.
Please be mindful of the weather and being outside - the campground does have a 6 person golf cart which they are going to be driving us around in or you can rent one for yourselves there. During the wedding and reception, we expect normal, casual wedding attire. Nothing too fancy (no tuxes required :)), but also not your gym clothes (ie: slacks, button-down shirts, cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, paintsuits, etc). After the reception, you are welcome to change into more appropriate bonfire clothes if you do not want your nice duds to get smokey. There is a large, very clean, public restroom facility as well as all the cabins and lakehouse to store clothes in/change.
Not a problem. There is PLENTY of non-seafood options everywhere in Maine - including at our wedding. (spoiler alert, contrary to popular belief, Mainers do not eat lobster every day). The wedding will be catered by Uproot Pie (pizza - with GF option available) and Mainely Meatballs.
If you are staying on the campground - they are providing towels and linens. You need to bring your own toiletries and anything else you need to have. The cabins all have mini fridges, so stock up at the gas station, New Hampshire liquor store, or wherever you want to get your juice. There is also a general store at the campground which will be open limited hours if we need any emergency provisions. Feel free to bring any outdoor games, musical instruments, or whatever else you think would be a fun thing to play with outside.
