FAQs

We can't thank you enough for traveling to the Vineyard to celebrate with us. To make your visit more relaxing, please consider the following FAQs.
Question

When should I book my ferry tickets and for what dates?

Answer

We recommend booking your reservation early. If you plan on taking a vehicle, the earlier you book the more flexibility you have with your travel plans. The Steamship Authority website is now open for summer reservations. If you are not taking your vehicle, you should have no problem booking the time that fits best with your schedule. Please consider your carpool options when booking if applicable. We will be heading to the island on Wednesday, June 9th. We are hosting a rehearsal dinner open to everyone on Friday, June 11th at 7pm. The Wedding ceremony and reception will take place on Saturday, June 12 from 4:30pm until last call. A casual brunch will be served from 9:00 - 12:00 on Sunday, June 13. You are welcome to extend your stay and enjoy beautiful Martha's Vineyard.

Question

How do I pack for the second weekend in June on Martha's Vineyard?

Answer

Have you ever been to a Red Sox game early on in the season? You want to dress in shorts and a tank because of the venue but often wish you had layers. Average temps on the island in June hit the upper 60's. With 9 hours of sunlight you should be able to carry that island glow into cocktail hour. After sunset, you might consider that sweatshirt or jacket to keep you comfortable. While the water may be too cold for a dip, walks on the beach are encouraged and if you get wet, please send us a photo! Dress comfortable, bring layers and pack an extra sweatshirt for the bon fire or late night beach stroll.

Question

Will transportation be provided once we arrive on the island?

Answer

Hosting our wedding on the island has its perks but we also understand the lengths you took to get here. We will have a few cars and will do our best to provide transportation when we can! When you have booked your ferry, shoot us a text so we can plan for your arrival. Transportation to the rehearsal dinner and wedding will be provided at a later date. Check back soon for more details!

Question

I am concerned about Covid. What should I expect?

Answer

Your safety means the world to us. Martha's Vineyard will be following the guidelines set forth by Governor Baker at the time of the wedding. The rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception will all be held outside. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Question

Will I have time to explore the Island?

Answer

Yes! We would love for you to pack an extra travel day or two and see the Island. Outside of our planned wedding events, we encourage you to play a round of golf or a visit to some of the breathtaking lighthouses and beaches. Visit our "Things to Do" page for some ideas!

Question

I am confident, sexy and full of positive energy. I can sing like Lady Gaga and rock like Bruce Springsteen. Can I showcase my talents at your wedding?

Answer

Wow! Just wow! While this isn't your middle school talent show, we happily accept your dance moves, your range of karaoke and your best love advice. Bring it on!

For all the days along the way
