This is always a favorite stop on our way to or from the coast. Come for the free cheese samples, stay for the ice cream, self-guided tour, and well-stocked gift shop.
A gorgeous and cinematically famous landmark in one of our favorite coastal towns! A trip to Haystack probably won't lead you to One-Eyed Willie's treasure, but it can't hurt to try.
Kelly's is our go-to spot for crabbing. If you're planning to spend the weekend at the coast, this is a great place to either catch your own, or buy, delicious fresh crab.
The very best clamming around! Go just before low tide so you can follow the tide out and maximize your time in the bay. Keep an eye on the ocean - when the tide comes back in, there are several channels that fill up pretty quickly, and if you dilly dally you'll have to wade through potentially up to your waist to get back to the parking area.
Pronto Pup is a local go-to for delicious corndogs and pickle dogs (a cornbread coated fried pickle). Stopping by the original location also gives you the opportunity to ride their coin operated corndog, complete with saddle! Highly recommended.
You might recognize Twin Rocks arch from the photos we took on the beach where Dan proposed. This beach is a popular spot for flying kites, surf perch fishing, surfing, and general recreation.
Locally owned and right on the beach, this restaurant offers outdoor seating, excellent seafood, and a delicious Chicken Paprikash, courtesy of the owner's Hungarian roots.
