For those celebrating with us this summer, we have pre-reserved lodging options for all of our guests given the remote location and limited options. Details will be shared after you have RSVP’ed, though you can assume you will be lodged with the appropriate “group” (i.e., family, friends etc.) All hotel rooms and cabins are within a 10 min drive to the ceremony site, and shuttles will be available on the night of the reception for those interested. While they are not the Ritz, they are comfortable and cozy, and will get you in the Maine spirit right away!

Getting to Caratunk, ME

There are multiple ways to get to this remote slice of paradise. You can either drive, which will take you around 7 hours from NYC and 4 hours from Boston. Other options include flying into the Bangor or Portland, ME airports and renting a car to drive to Caratunk, ME (about ~2 hours from both airports). Ride share services are not the most reliable so if you are not renting a car, be sure to schedule a car ahead of time.

Exploring the Area

Considering we barely have cell service, you can assume that Ubers, Lyfts and taxi’s are non-existent. As such, it will be helpful to have access to a car. Not only will this help you travel to and from the airport, but it will give you the chance to explore the surrounding area, which is situated on the Appalachian Trial and Kennebec River. Keep in mind we will have shuttle buses to and from the reception so you can get your party on!
