A peaceful village on Mexico's Caribbean coastline, Puerto Morelos is the antidote to glitzy Yucatan hot spots like Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Government eco-reserve designations protect the vibrant coral reef and lush mangroves—and the village itself—from rampant overdevelopment. It's all about the outdoors in this Riviera Maya town, from thrilling jungle and diving adventures to serene bike rides and massages on the beach. Only a 2 mile walk on the beach and 10 minute taxi ride from Dreams Rivera Cancun Resort & Spa.
The Cozumel Pearl Farm is a family owned project that began operations in 2001, located on the North Side of Cozumel Island in Quintana Roo, Mexico is considered the only pearl farm in the Caribbean. Don Francisco, the founder of the project, had the dream to retire in a Pearl Farm and his goal was to provide his family with a better future and life quality. The Cozumel Pearl Farm is the only active pearl farm in the Caribbean and is the best kept secret of the island. During the tour you will walk the facilities of the farm and find out how we cultivate our pearls and the patience needed for the long cultivation process and see some of the island's first farmed pearls.
Playa, as the locals call it, is a beach-side city located on the coast of the Caribbean about 45 minutes south of Cancun. Playa has changed dramatically in the last two decades from a relatively quiet, laid-back beach town to a bustling destination full of boutique hotels, nice restaurants and trendy bars. It is more tranquil than Cancun but in high season it can be pretty buzzing, especially along 5th Avenue, the central street, around which visitors gravitate.
For those of you who haven’t heard of Isla Mujeres before, it is a beautiful paradise located just off the shore of Cancun. The closest airport to Isla Mujeres is Cancun International Airport (CUN). From the airport, a short 25 minute ride by taxi, shuttle or private transfer gets visitors to the Gran Puerto Cancun Ferry Dock.
To Inspire Passion for Nature and Wildlife, through an interactive guided tour. You will able to touch, hold and feed great variety of our wild local animals; and if you are brave enough… to walk among crocodiles.
Situated about one hour south of the Cancun International Airport, between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, is Akumal. The name is derived from the Mayan language meaning ‘Place of the Turtle.’ There are several protected bays enclosed by the Mesoamerican Reef, the second largest barrier reef system in the world. The turtles use this pristine location as nesting grounds and spend their days munching on the sea grass just a hundred meters or so from the shores. The calm, turquoise waters of the bays are perfect for snorkeling, kayaking and families with younger children. Along the palm-fringed beaches, there is plenty of white sand to park a beach blanket and cooler for an afternoon of Caribbean bliss by the sea!
